In provenance trials of Pinus oocarpa Schiede planted in the Darwin region of the Northern Territory of Australia the Mt Pine Ridge Belize provenance outgrew other provenances. However growth did not exceed that of P. caribaea Mor. var. bondurensis Barr. and Golf. and at one of the two sites where trials were conducted the growth of the latter species was much superior. The form of the P. oocarpa was better than that of P. caribaea var. hondurensis.

Abstract
