Abstract

Nutrient contents and removal by chilli variety MC 5 was investigated. A total nutrient removal of 277.16 29 307.32 51.86 and 30.14 kg/ha of N P K Ca and Mg respectively was obtained. More than 50 of the N P and K were removed by the fruits. There were positive correlations between nutrient uptake and yield. The regression equations presented could be used to predict nutrient removals and hence amounts to be applied at various levels of production
