Abstract
The semi-dwarf rice is popular because of some special characters it has. Using gamma ray Nuclear Energy Unit had induced semi-dwarf mutants from MR52. However during M2 generation some of these mutants were attacked by brown planthopper. In M3 generation 855 mutants lines were screened for resistance to brown planthopper using three screening methods: Line screening antibiosis test and plant-tolerant test. Only 21 mutant lines were found to be resistant to brown planthopper.
