Abstract
30 ginger species in 12 genera were collected from Temengor Hulu Perak Malaysia. These represent about 20 percent of the approximately 150 species in 52 percent of the 23 genera of the Zingiberaceae in Malaysia. The rhizomes leaf-shoots flowers fruits and seeds were collected for identification. A preliminary checklist of the gingers of Temengor is provided together with notes on their habitat abundance and distribution
