Abstract

Floral buds grew for about 14 days before entering an antehsis-fertilisation period lasting 21 to 28 days. The fruit underwent a double sigmoid growth lasting 130 days with a 14 days lag period. About 80 of the abortions occurred during the anthesis-fertilisation period with very few fruits exceeding 6 cm aborting. Reported sugar changes were also compared to these developmental changes.
