Abstract

A new relationship providing a description of the complete stress-strain curves of filled and unfilled elastomers submitted to uniaxial deformation at constant extension rate is proposed. The validity of the equation and the corresponding parameters have been determined with different samples: natural rubber filled with carbon black poly(butadiene-b-styrene) and cis-l 4-polybutadiene unfilled or filled with polyacrylonitrile low density polyethylene and polyvinylchloride.
