Abstract
The reptilian fauna of Gunung Jerai Permanent Forest Reserve was recorded from the period of June 2002 until February 2003. Snakes, lizards and turtles were captured or observed and then identified. The reptiles were captured and observed during trekking bouts along used and unused trails, and along road and during chance encounters. The results showed 19 species of reptiles from nine families were recorded from Gunung Jerai Permanent Forest Reserve. Of the reptiles, there were nine species of lizards, one species of turtle, and nine species of snakes.
